Our Material: The Sustainable Choice

For our swimwear, we exclusively use high-quality ECO-Lycra – an innovative material largely made from recycled fishing nets and other nylon waste. This fabric is manufactured in Europe and combines maximum sustainability with outstanding functionality. It is particularly shape-retaining, quick-drying, and offers reliable UV protection, so you can enjoy your bikini for a long time while also contributing to the reduction of marine waste.

The right washing instructions

To ensure your bikini shines for many summers, proper care is crucial. We recommend:

  • Hand wash is a must: Always hand wash your bikini in lukewarm water (maximum 30 °C).
  • Mild detergent: Use a very mild delicate detergent or special sports detergents. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, and fabric softeners, as these can damage the elastane fibers.
  • Do not wring: Gently squeeze the water out of the fabric after washing. Please never wring, as this can ruin the shape of the bikini.

Dealing with Chlorine Water

Chlorinated water in pools is aggressive and can affect the elasticity and colors of your bikini.

  • Rinse immediately: Rinse your bikini in clean, cold water immediately after swimming. Do not leave it in a damp swim bag.
  • Avoid extreme concentration: Make sure not to leave your bikini in heavily chlorinated water for an unnecessarily long time.

Dealing with Seawater and Sand

Seawater and fine sand can act like sandpaper on delicate fibers.

  • Remove sand: If sand gets stuck in the fibers, carefully remove it by gently stretching the dry fabric. Rinsing under running water helps dissolve salt crystals.
  • Sunscreen alert: Direct contact with sunscreens or oils can cause stains. Be careful when applying and wash affected areas promptly.

Proper Storage

The method of drying and storage significantly contributes to longevity.

  • Dry in the shade: Let your bikini dry flat and in the shade. Direct sunlight or the heat of a tumble dryer will cause colors to fade and the material to become brittle.
  • Store in a cool, dry place: Store your bikini in a cool, dry place during winter. Make sure it is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mold growth.
